“Songs first”: while this lineup of musicians could easily find steady work as a jam band, Vieaux is a very busy songwriter with plenty to say in his lyrics. In particular, his songs about love and relationships rise to the challenge that “love songs are the hardest to write” (John Hartford). With a lifelong quirk to coin new phrases, Mark twists common ideas into a fresh delivery, putting an ‘everyman’ perspective on the world we live in.

“Fun first”: skilled musicianship is always enjoyable, but our approach is if the players are having a good time, the audience will too. Our music is to be listened to, danced to, and sung along with, but rarely to be taken too seriously. We want to make people feel good!
“Fans first”: the band plays to its audience – we want to see their faces! We are adaptable to almost any size venue, with preference being midsized to large clubs, theaters, and festival stages.
